Exeter Historic Buildings Trust is seeking a historic buildings enthusiast for St. Nicholas Priory.
St Nicholas Priory is the oldest building in Exeter dating back to 1087.The two surviving wings are owned and managed by the Exeter Historic Buildings Trust (EHBT). St. Nicholas Priory has become a venue for performance and community events and attracts local, regional and national shows and performers, as well as artists and exhibitors (www.nicholaspriory.com). EHBT is now seeking a suitably experienced person to manage the repair and maintenance of the fabric of these two wings, including the parts of the north wing that are currently operated as private residences.
The post is on an initial fixed-term contract of six months and is subject to renewal. It is a part-time post for 0.2 of a week (one day or two half-days a week). Some flexibility must be maintained to allow for occasional evening and weekend duties in support of the Manager-Operations, plus emergency call out duties in support of existing key-holders.
